Travel/Transportation
Bus: There are several bus companies that offer inexpensive travel options to Washington, DC, including:
Be sure to check prices for all of these lines before purchasing -- and also check whether there are stops along the way, internet access, power outlets, etc. Various lines offer various options, and also charge varying rates.
Charter Bus: For those interested in chartering buses for groups to come to Washington D.C., check out Bolt Bus's Charter Program which offers some of the best prices we found: https://www.boltbus.com/charters.aspx
Air: There are three airports in the DC Metropolitan Area: Reagan National (airport code DCA), Dulles International (airport code IAD), and Baltimore-Washington (airport code BWI). By far, the easiest airport to fly into and then travel into downtown DC from is Reagan National (DCA). DCA has a metro stop attached to it that runs directly into downtown DC. Dulles is pretty far from downtown DC, but is accessible by 1 public transit bus and by shared van services like SuperShuttle. Baltimore-Washington (BWI) is relatively close to downtown DC and is also accessible by public transportation via a bus and then the Metro (subway).
Train: Amtrak (http://www.amtrak.com) offers a lot of options for train travel, whether you're on the East Coast or coming from the Southeast/Midwest. Check their site early to see whether train travel is an option -- buying early and using either a student or AAA discount will often allow you to find reasonably-priced train tickets.
Car: If you're traveling by car, you'll need to do some research ahead of time to find out where you can park, for how long, and at what price. The best option is to find a friend whose apartment/house has parking available, or to check with your hostel/hotel to see if there is parking available. DC streets are almost entirely metered and time-limited, so parking on the street for a few days at a time is nearly impossible.
Metro (while in DC): The Supreme Court sits between two Metro stops -- Union Station (red line) and Capitol South (blue/orange lines). When looking at lodging options, make sure to find out whether you'll be near a Metro stop, which makes city travel far easier. You can find out about stations, maps, and fares for the Metro system (which also extends to Maryland and Virginia) at http://www.wmata.com.

Lodging
*** Please note: this is also the week of the D.C. Cherry Blossom Festival - one of D.C.'s busiest events. Lodging is increasingly scarce and expensive during this time. We have negotiated special rates at the below hotels if you book prior to the cut off date. ***
Also, lodgings listed are suggestions only, and are ultimately up to each individual attending. If you choose to stay at a different hotel, we ask that you please support our allies in the labor movement by avoiding boycotted hotels when traveling - click here to see a list of boycotted hotels. Other budget options include airbnb.com, Couchsurfing.com, and Hostels.com.
